June: Outer Hebrides Pairs Competition
Each June, Askernish hosts a beloved Outer Hebrides Pairs competition that brings together members for two days of camaraderie and spirited play. Teams of two compete across our rugged, natural links layout, where the machair dunes and Atlantic wind demand strategy as much as skill. This event is a wonderful way for partners, friends, or family to enjoy the course together, build their teamwork, and experience the beauty of South Uist in early summer.
August: Open Weekend
In August, we open our fairways for a special Open Weekend, welcoming golfers from across the islands and beyond to experience Askernish at its very best. The three-day programme offers a mix of formats to suit all players and create a lively, memorable weekend of golf. Whether you're coming for the competition or the stunning coastline views, this weekend is a highlight of our calendar and a perfect chance to sample our links golf.

Friday – Mackenzie & Ebert Stableford
We open the weekend with a relaxed but competitive Mackenzie & Ebert Stableford, celebrating the renowned course architects whose work helped guide the restoration of Askernish. This event is ideal for easing into the weekend while enjoying the natural rhythm of our traditional links.

Saturday – Open Stroke Play
